Still can’t get live tv it’s been several months and we’re still paying our monthly for cable tv, which we can’t use. a) Make sure the Tuning adapter is hooked correctly. b) Tuning adapter light must be solid. If blinking, then reboot. c) If the issue persists, proceed to step 3. If No, proceed to Step 3. 3. Back then Tivo did add some additional code to deal with the issue much like Silicon Dust did. Getting Tivo Engineering to dedicate resources to making their software work with some misconfigured cable system is another story. Try disconnecting the power cable, CableCARD, and the coax cable from the DVR for 10 seconds. Check if there are physical damages on TiVo CableCARD slot and the CableCARD.
