I probably think Civ 6 has the best overall game presentation in the series. I rate Civ 2, 4, 5, and 6 all very highly though. I don't think you can go wrong with purchasing 5 or 6. The one thing I like more in 6 is that it is much easier to manage playing wide. I didn't much care for the happiness mechanic in Civ 5.
