Yes, use the key fob to Lock/Unlock the doors after you connect the battery. This should turn the alarm off. Or try the door lock itself with the key. Note: the horn won't stop going off even if you start the car with a key, which is in fact pretty dumb.

Solution for me was to stick key in driver's side door and unlock while the alarm was going off. I'm guessing it had something to do with the Mobilizer maybe.
